Showers Of Blessings

 After finding out that the gender of our next little one would be a girl, my charming friend Chiaki insisted on hosting another baby shower for me.  I couldn't resist the offer because we had such a splendid time at the one she hosted for Greyson.  This time I wanted to keep it moderately small, so I only invited about a dozen plus people.  Once again, we had a wonderful time chatting, enjoying the beautiful weather, and consuming amazing food!

Not only was it a relaxing time, but I also had an enjoyable time opening the thoughtful  gifts that everyone brought!  We received lots of well needed girly clothes, blankets, hair bows,and booties!  Our baby girl will be the finest dressed baby for certain!

Brandon & I continue to be blessed with so much!  We are very thankful for all that we have!  We can't wait to meet miracle number two!

I'm As Lucky As Can Be, The World's Greatest Daddy Belongs To Me!

During the Father's Day weekend, we traveled to West Virgina to visit Brandon's Mom (Grandma Carole) & Uncle Tom.  We particularly wanted to be with them during the Father's Day weekend because just the week before, our family suffered an unfortunate loss...our dear Grandpa Greg (Brandon's step-dad) passed away.  He was a very giving/loving person & will surely be missed.

We enjoyed being able to have good food, funny conversations, and just being able to have a relaxing time with family.  We also got in the swimming pool with Greyson and he loved it!  He was so comfortable sitting in his float, splashing and playing around.  He's such a Daddy's boy & it just blesses my heart that he

adores his Daddy!

Baby-Proofed!

With Greyson being on the move & into everything, & with me being pregnant & home with him during the summer break, we thought it would be an excellent idea to put up baby gates. This would still give him the opportunity to explore in a safe environment, while also helping him to develop his gross/fine motor skills. So Brandon installed a gate at the bottom of our steps, and in between the kitchen & our great room area...what a great investment it has been! Now, I don’t have to constantly follow him around & make sure that he’s not crawling up the steps or having to continuously pull him out of the kitchen & away from Daisy’s food, or worry about him getting into our huge plants!

ONE-derful!

On June 1st was Greyson's 1st birthday! We wanted to celebrate with our closest friends and family, so this past weekend we had the party at our house. We enjoyed appetizing food from City Barbeque, scrumptious butter cream cake, adorable cupcakes, and homemade ice cream! We had such a fun time getting to watch Greyson "smash" his first cake & unwrap presents. We are extremely thankful to have such loving & caring friends & family! Here are just a few pics from the party!
