Good Lookin' and Handy Too...That's My Man!

On August 16th, we celebrated Brandon’s birthday! He was showered with cakes, cookies, and his most favorite treat...buckeyes!

The day just isn’t long enough to celebrate such a loving & thoughtful person such as Brandon! He’s truly a fantastic husband, friend, daddy, uncle, brother, son & above all…a wonderful person! He always goes out of his way to help someone & you can always count on him for anything! It is my prayer that Greyson will grow up to be just like his Daddy! I’m blessed to be married to such a wonderful man!

We love you! Xoxox’s

Greyson has a PhD in Cuteness!

Our neighbor Craig wanted to take some baby pictures of Greyson, so this past weekend we set up a time to go over and take a few pics. I rushed home from teaching my spinning class, ate, & got cleaned up while Brandon bathed and fed Greyson. Then it was Brandon’s turn to get ready. We knew we were going to have a small window before Greyson started to get tired.

We wanted to get some cute “naked baby” pics, so we stripped Greyson down to his bare bottom…what do you think happened? Yes, Mommy got peed on! I kid you not Greyson looked up at me and smiled before he peed on me! It was too funny! We were at least able to get some cute pics of him.

Then he started to get fussy because he was tired. It was a fun time and we enjoyed the opportunity to get some baby pics and in helping Craig build his photography portfolio.

Watch Out! Here I Grow!

At Greyson's 2nd month check up, he weighed 13/12lbs. (90-95%) & measured 24 inches (75-90%).  He also received his 2nd round of immunizations.  He took the first shot like a champ & the next shot he had a delayed reaction.  He did great & wasn't upset for long.  His development is progressing as normal & we are thankful that he is sleeping through the night!  Some other milestones that he has reached are...
He is also able to hold his head higher/longer while on his tummy and can turn his head from side to sideHe enjoys studying the movement of his hands and likes to suck on them! He has also been smiling back at us! My goodness he's grown so much! He is such a loving and content baby!

Dog Gone Good

Our sweet dog Daisy has been the center of our attention for the past four years. Whenever Brandon & I were in the midst of looking for a dog, a stray dog (now named Daisy) was found by Brandon’s mom (Grandma Carole) who then brought her to us to see if we would be willing to give her a home. We didn’t hesitate in taking her in as our own, & she has been the greatest dog ever! I’m thankful that we were able to rescue Daisy & give her a loving home; we are also very thankful for Grandma Carole being in the right place at the right time!
As it got closer to Greyson’s due date, we were curious to see how Daisy would react to us bringing him home. At first she wasn’t sure what to think & was a little timid of Greyson. But once she realized that Greyson was here to stay, she has become somewhat protective of him.

While Greyson is napping, she will often wait by his crib for him to wake up. It’s so sweet. I was able to get a pic of her waiting by his crib.

She also gets so excited whenever Brandon or I are down in the floor playing with Greyson & she will often join in on the fun!

So I think it's safe to say that Daisy enjoys having Greyson around, at least until he starts to crawl!
