Having Fun Being One!

We said this about Greyson whenever he turned a year old and once again; it’s hard to believe that our baby girl has now turned the Big One!  We celebrated Korenna's Birthday with close friends and family this past weekend.  Our plan was to be outside for the party, but the humidity was still a bit too thick and not very pleasant, so the majority of the party was spent inside where it was nice and cool.  Given that the party took place late into the afternoon, by the time we ate, opened presents, and sang "Happy Birthday," the humidity had faded a bit.  This worked out perfectly!  We were able to let the kids play outside in the pool and jump in the bounce house, while the adults got to mingle for awhile.

Cupcakes were the theme for Korenna's birthday.  We sent out these cute invites...
I tried my patience at baking Korenna's "smash" cake & also 40 cupcakes!
My dear friend Becky made Korenna's birthday outfit along with matching bloomers and hairbow!
Playing with her cousins...
Time for presents!

Let me at it!
 Let's play!
 Here come those tears!
 My Grandma Karen...
We’re so blessed for the close family and friends that came over to celebrate our baby girl!

Forever Young

This past weekend my Grandma Bonnie turned 88 years young!  My dear Uncle Bucky & sweet cousin Missy drove her all the way from Oklahoma (where my momma was born/raised) to the great state of Ohio, so that my momma & the rest of our family could celebrate her special day with her!  It was a pleasant time, and a visit to remember...
A pic with all the Great Grand-kids...2 were missing...
Camryn is going to be in 1st grade and is already an awesome reader!  She loved reading to Grandma Bonnie...
Korenna loves her cousins...Bailey was letting her try on her headband...
She likes wearing them for about a second!
It blesses my heart to see my big bro loving on little Grey...
Korenna loves climbing up on the furniture...she made herself right at home at Grandma & Papaw's house...her cousin Blake thought it was a neat place to sit too!
Brandon, Uncle Bucky, Kelly, Missy sharing stories...
Missy & her cute son Dempsy
Sweet Grandma Bonnie Lee
I think he liked his cupcake!
 Bailey too!
Daddy shared his with Korenna...she's begging for more!!
Bailey will be going into the 4th grade...she's really great at helping out with any task & loves her baby cousins!  Such a sweet niece!
Korenna Lee with: Great Grandma Bonnie Lee, & Grandma Karen Lee...the middle name "Lee" is on both sides of our families!
I love my Grandma Bonnie & have the fondest memories of time spent with her!!

Pint- Sized Patriots

For the 4th of July weekend, we planned a short trip down to West Virginia to spend some time with Nana Carole.  It was going to be a time to relax and swim!  We were fortunate that the thunderstorms didn't follow us as we headed her way...or maybe it did in a different form.  Brandon & I were deep in conversation & he apparently super exceeded the speed limit!  We got pulled over for going "slightly" over the speed limit...this made our trip a bit more expensive than what it should have been!
Before we loaded up...I took a few pics of the somewhat "happy campers!"
 Grey wouldn't acknowledge the camera!
Greyson thought the dog's cage at Nana's was super cool...
It belongs to Koko...she didn't mind him checking it out though!
Korenna giving "good morning" kisses to her Da-da!
The day was hot, but the pool was a great way to keep cool.
This was Korenna's first time swimming...she loved it!
Greyson liked floating in the boat with Nana...
Despite what happened on the way, the time spent with Nana was worth it!  She got to love on her grand-babies, & that's the important part!

We spent the 4th of July at our house, and invited Grandma Karen & Papaw "D" over for a cookout.
Thank goodness for time well spent with the one's we love!
