Tough Break!

Yes, it happened...Greyson was riding his tricycle and hit an uneven sidewalk paver, that knocked him off of his bike...he landed wrong, and broke his arm.  Surprisingly, Greyson didn't even scream or cry!  He just said, "Momma it hurts!"  My heart sunk to my stomach, because by looking at his arm, I knew what happened...Thank goodness my hubby acted quick and called the paramedics!  Five minutes later, two kind men showed up and put a splint on Grey's arm. Long story short...we spent a long evening/night at Children's Hospital.  Greyson did extremely well with all that he had to endure!  The x-rays showed that one bone was broken, and another bone had to be reset.  In order to reset the one bone, the doctors had to sedate him.  We thank God that he was okay...things could always be worse!

On our way to the ER...little did we know what a long night we were in for.
Being a brave little boy....
He got to pick the color of his cast....he wanted red!
He's definitely going to be a righty, now!
The accident happened on a Friday evening, and by Monday we were back to work/school...Greyson's teacher sent this note home....
That's our boy!
He refused to wear this sling, I kinda don't blame him!!
Dear Greyson,
You were such a brave little boy whenever you broke your arm.  Mommy & Daddy were so worried about you (Sissy too).  We learned a lot about you after this...you showed us that you have a high tolerance for pain (oh no!), and that you can adjust easily in a difficult situation.

We love you with all our hearts!

Hoppy Easter!

Typically Easter Sunday is cold and rainy here in Ohio, but not this year!  We were so thankful that the day was full of sunshine and mostly warm weather (mid 60's).  The kids woke up at their usual time, between half past six and seven o'clock am.  I asked them if they wanted to go see what the Easter Bunny had brought them and Greyson said, "Oh yes, Mommy!"  As soon as we rounded the corner into our kitchen, Korenna spied their Easter baskets on the table full of goodies to play with!  She said, "Oooohhh!"  It was priceless!
Our morning then consisted of eating breakfast, bath-time, an episode of Bubble Guppies, and finally getting ready to go to church.  After church, we then headed to my parents house to celebrate the day with them, my brother and his family, and also my sister who drove all the way up from Tennessee to be with us!  It was a great time!
 Family picture...the sun was bright!
So we moved under the shade...a bit better, but we still couldn't get Miss Korenna to look at the camera!
 Aunt Neisy brought presents!
 Cousin, Bailey...
 Papaw & Mamaw...
The three stooges!  Stretching before the "hunt!"
 On your mark....Go!
Korenna had to open her eggs first, to see if there were any goodies inside!
She found some chocolate inside a few eggs!
 Cousin, Blake!
Korenna and Bailey were having a great conversation!
Kids table...
Uncle Kelly & Blake playing some football!
Cousin Ally loves her little cousins too...
 Aunt Kate & Blake...
Finally, a calm moment...
The following day, we got to have dinner with Nana and she also had goodies for the kids to enjoy!!

The Hunt Is On

Greyson is selective with his eggs...
Korenna just wanted to find the eggs with candy inside!

Eggs To Dye For

Today after the kids woke up from their naps, we attempted to dye Easter eggs with them....it was a huge success!  They loved it and had such an "egg"cellent time!
Greyson was laughing at Sissy...so cute!
Korenna's first whiff of the vinegar...
