Dear Santa, I've Been Very, Very Good!

Today, we rounded up the kids and headed out to see Santa! We made it to the mall early enough, in order to allow the kids to enjoy burning some built up energy, on the playground! We knew from previous visits to see Santa, that the line starts to form 30 minutes ahead of his arrival time! We made our way and were able to get a good spot in line....and wait. The time passed quickly, thanks to snacks and advanced technology! The kids were able to entertain themselves, by playing games on our phones.

Greyson was excited to talk to Santa.  He told him exactly what he wanted for Christmas!  Korenna on the other hand, saw nothing "jolly" about Santa!  Maybe next year, she won't be so scared of him...

Lights, And More Lights!

Our sweet nephew Blake and niece Camryn, got to come and spend the night with us!  Greyson and Korenna enjoyed getting to play with their cousins all day, and they absolutely wore each other out!  After dinner, we all loaded up and headed out to see the beautiful Christmas lights!  They had a great time, and got to enjoy some warm coco and cookies afterwards!  Such a fun time!
Good times!!

Cookies For Christmas

Greyson and Korenna enjoyed getting to decorate Christmas cookies, but I think they enjoyed getting to taste all the different colored icings, even more!
Grandma Karen, helping us to get started...
A helping hand from Daddy and Mommy...
Greyson got the hang of it...
Korenna, showing Papaw D her beautiful snowflake cookie...
By this time, they were too full of icing to want to eat a cookie!

Bowing Out

Brandon and I were so eager to go and watch Greyson and Korenna sing in their Christmas program at school, that we didn't even consider that one of them, wouldn't want to go up on stage to sing!
All week Korenna had been singing her song to us, and Greyson had told us that he was going to be singing a "car" song that went "vroom, vroom!"  What a silly boy!
On our way to the program, Greyson decided he was going to sing his Rudolph song.  He did great!  So, we knew he was going to do well.
As the program started, Korenna and her class were up first.  They did a wonderful job, and it was so precious!  Next up, was Greyson and his class.  We had our cameras out & ready...but, we quickly discovered, that he didn't want to go up on stage to sing!  Brandon rushed over and tried to encourage him, but Greyson had already made up his mind.  He told Brandon that he'd rather sit with him in the chair.  We were a little crushed, but we all got over it with some ice-cream afterwards, from McDonalds! What a time to remember!
All Dressed Up!!
Korenna and her friends!!
It was only a matter of time, before they spotted themselves on the Big Screen!
 Our Little Rudolph...
 Sitting on Papaw's lap...
Dear Greyson and Korenna,
Mommy and Daddy will always be proud of you, no matter what!  We will always be there to encourage you in everything you do!
Love,
Mommy

Santa's Helper Arrives!

My sister ordered "The Elf On The Shelf" for the kids to enjoy for Christmas. I kept preparing them for his big arrival, by telling them that Santa would be sending one of his Elves to make sure they were being nice. Whenever he arrived today (via UPS), I quickly placed him so that whenever they got home from school, they would see him! This is the reaction I got...

Family Is The Best Part Of Christmas

Today, we had our annual  Family Christmas pictures taken.  The morning didn't start off quiet that smoothly... First, I scorched Korenna's dress with the iron (you can't tell in the pics). Then, she pitched a fit about not wanting to wear her tights.  Next, Greyson pitched a fit and didn't want to wear his button-up shirt/sweater vest!  Finally, after a few tears we were able to settle down, eat breakfast, and leave on time.  The rest of the morning, including our picture session, went very well!
A few of our favorites...
    Merry Christmas!

He's Got His Daddy's Chin

Such an exciting time in our lives!  Today, we got to find out the gender of our baby...it's a BOY!  I told my husband, that the world definately needed more men like him in it!  He's the best of the best!  Greyson and Korenna were asking for a girl, but they were happy when we told them it was a boy!  Glad they are easy to please!
Dear Baby,
You have no idea who awaits your arrival in April!  First, a loving Mommy and Daddy who will always love you.  Then, you have a wonderful older brother who wants to play cars and ball with you, and a loving sister who wants to dress you up and paint your fingernails!  Next, you have Aunts and Uncles who can't wait to squeeze you, and cousins who want to aggravate you.  The last group of people, are your wonderful Grandparents, who can't wait to spoil you rotten!
Love,
Mommy
